How do I enter the competition?

  1. Read the competition instructions

Am I automatically accepted into my chosen Master’s program if I win the competition?

No, in order to claim your prize you have to make a formal application to the master’s program via, meet all requirements set up by the Chalmers and be accepted to the university and program. Please read the specific requirements for each program thoroughly:

Can I enter the competition as a team?

No. We only accept entries from individuals, as the scholarship is awarded on an individual basis.

I have trouble loading the challenge. What are the recommended browsers for entering the challenge?

The latest versions of Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

What is the master’s program about?

How do I apply to the master’s programs?

You apply online on the Swedish system for university applications, You are required to submit both online and hard copies of your application. If you have questions regarding the application process, for the most rapid response, please contact the admissions office at

Am I eligible to enter the competition?

You can find the eligibility criteria under The Challenge.

Am I eligible to enter the competition if I am an American student studying outside the U.S.?

Yes, as long as you are an American citizen or legal resident and fulfill all other requirements, you are eligible!

Am I eligible to enter the competition if I am studying in the U.S. but am not an American citizen?

Yes you can enter if you are currently enrolled in a bachelor's program at (or hold a degree from) a U.S. university.

How will collecting recommendations affect my entry in the competition?

The recommendations you collect when you share your public profile with friends and family will be weighed alongside your quiz results, essay response and personal motivation. In the case that participants have the same quiz and essay results, recommendations and the personal motivation will play a decisive role in determining the winner. So share your profile and collect as many recommendations as possible to increase your chances of winning!
